Why not try going really full-on with table designs and have cerise table cloths with bright orange accessories or runners! Or matching super cars? Pink for you and Orange for him. Using such bold and clashing colour blocking can be scary so why not have the girls wear cerise and the guys in orange. Im not talking full on orange suits, just accessories. Who are you?

Blue Lights Photography are a female Award Winning Wedding Photographer from Barnsley, but covering the Yorkshire area and beyond. Run by Adele, she specialises in making images to treasure forever. Also a finalist for a Wedding Idea’s award within her first year of business, you can be sure of a great service.

Why are you running the competition?

Adele is running the competition to enable couples getting married from 1st October to 31st March to WIN their Wedding Photography. Adele believes that everyone should have images to treasure forever – and most people who get married in the winter months, do so because they want to either have a beautiful winter wedding, or, their budget will not stretch to an ?in-season? wedding. This can mean that a lot of people drop the idea of having a professional photographer, or they go for someone they can afford rather than want. Giving the opportunity for a couple to win an amazing £1200 of photography including an album means that they do not have to worry and that money could be spent elsewhere on the wedding.

What do you win?

As mentioned, the prize is worth over £1200, and includes a full-day photography from award winning Blue Lights Photography and a 10×10 10-spread Italian Designer Album of choice from Album Epoca.

When is the competition open?

The Competition is open from 1st May 2011 to 11:59pm on 30th June 2011 – then 3 people will be shortlisted.

How will the shortlist work?

The shortlist will be chosen by a panel of people from past and current brides, people with media connections and of course Adele from Blue Lights Photography.

Who will win?

The shortlist will be announced and then we are actively asking people to VOTE!

This will be done on the Blue Lights Photography Blog. We ask that people do not vote multiple times for the same person, as this will lead to all your votes being pulled.

The winner will be the person with the most votes – and will be announced on 1st August 2011.

Then what happens?

We will publish the winner, and will also go to local press with the winner (and shortlist) stories and pictures. We will also use online wedding blogs and websites to promote the pre wedding photoshoot and the wedding after the Bride and Groom have seen their images.

Refreshing and bright colours; perfect for Spring! Try using paler shades of these two colours for Spring freshness and use more vivid, bold hues to take you straight through to the steamy Summer! Think apple or lime green for the older bridesmaid and pretty, pastel pinks for the smaller ones. Fresh roses and romantic lanterns are perfect for an outdoor wedding or marquee. On arrival to the reception treat your guests to a refreshing strawberry or rasberry mojito perfect for setting the party atmosphere and sticking to the theme too. Maybe pop a name flag in a fresh lime or fuschia pink flower, place them on the tables and use as a more exciting place setting!

With the dark and dreary Winter days behind us (fingers crossed!), it’s time to start thinking ahead to the warmer, sunnier seasons. This weeks wishboard has taken another twist, and were focusing on your Groom! It can be difficult to personalise and tailor your man’s outfit so that he feels totally comfortable and at ease. So try ‘funking’ the suit up with a modern trilby hat, or if its a more casual, non-church wedding, just forget the jacket and wear a waistcoat instead for an uber cool look! As for personalisation, do it with cuff links! Buy him some as a pre-wedding gift in the form of his favourite sports team strip, car or even something related to an inside joke you have! Perfect!
